How can Havening Techniques help you?
Havening is used for negative life events, overwhelming feelings of emotion, and daily health routines.
When a negative life event is encoded in the brain, it creates a permanent bridge that links the encoded information with the emotional and physical response. The brain constantly measures what’s around you against this encoded threat detection system. If a piece of information matches up, it ‘triggers’ the threat response, activating that bridge to those emotions and flooding your body with stress hormones, cortisol, epinephrine, and norepinephrine. These hormones consistently flooding the body can lead to many severe health conditions.
Havening Techniques using touch on your hands, arms and face, create delta brain waves. Each negative life event or threat detection system, when brought to working memory, can be removed using Havening. Delta brain waves create an enzyme in the brain that dissolves the bridge that links the encoded event to the emotional and physical response. Additionally, Havening floods the body with positive hormones, serotonin, dopamine, and oxytocin.

There are two parts of the mind, the conscious and the unconscious. A small portion of what we do is controlled by the conscious mind. (Things that we are aware of) Most of our functions are controlled by the unconscious mind. Everything that you don’t have to think about like, breathing, the circulatory system, the immune system, and all other systems including thought systems that are created throughout our lives. The goal of the unconscious is always to protect you, forming systems, based on your experiences that do that. However, some systems create unwanted results like fears, undesired behaviors, and self-sabotage.
Hypnotherapy utilizes deep relaxation and techniques to communicate directly with the unconscious mind. This allows you to keep the systems that serve you and change the ones that don’t. Hypnotherapy, in addition, empowers you to create new positive systems like healthy habits, building confidence, self-love, future building, and goal setting. What is Neuro-linguistic Programming?
NLP similar to Hypnotherapy, uses the understanding of how the brain processes information. NLP focuses on language patterning, to create techniques that most effectively communicate desired outcomes to the brain, resulting in positive changes.
NLP empowers, enables and teaches us to better understand the way our brain (neuro) processes the words we use (linguistic) and how that can impact on our past, present and future (programming). It gives us strategies for observing human behaviour and learning from the best (and worst) of that!
